Afghanistan coach points out key points of Vietnam's strength

Coach Dustgel highly appreciates Vietnam’s collective strength

At the post-match press conference, Afghanistan coach Duster Gil spoke highly of the performance of the Vietnamese players.

“Vietnam has improved offensively and the goalkeeper has played well. Overall, the entire Vietnamese team has played well.

I think the strength of the Vietnam team is in the collective, not in stars like Messi or Ronaldo. It’s a good sign for them,” shared coach Duster Gill.

The Afghan coach also admitted that Vietnam has made significant progress in the past five years.

“The quality of the Vietnam team 5 years later is hard to match it. Both teams have changed. I think they had a great game,” added Dustgel.

Under the leadership of coach Park Hengrui, the Afghanistan team has experienced a difficult game with the team’s tight play style and good ball-handling ability.

However, at the end of the 90 minutes at the Thong Nhat Stadium, head coach Dastgir remained bullish on the home team’s performance.

“We created a lot of chances in this match. I think the quality of the Afghanistan team is quite good, on par with Vietnam. I believe Afghanistan will qualify for the Asian Cup,” coach Duster Gill said.

According to the plan, after this game, Afghanistan will move to India immediately to prepare for the final round of the 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers.
