Conor Gallagher says Arsenal target Tariq Lamptey is the fastest player he has ever played with and against.
The Sun reported in late December that the Gunners had the Brighton star in their sights . Likewise, Duncan Castles announced in January that Arsenal are indeed interested in the 21-year-old right-back.
As well as Arsenal, names like Tottenham and Man Utd are said to be also eyeing Tariq Lamptey – a player who can cost up to £50 million. But in the end, Lamptey stayed in Brighton. However, with Arsenal looking to compete for Takehiro Tomiyasu in the summer, they could maintain their interest.
When asked who is the fastest player, Chelsea loanee to Crystal Palace Gallagher said: ” Definitely him. Tariq Lamptey, I have said this many times.
I grew up with him at Chelsea and he’s always been the fastest player I’ve played with or against . And the stats show that too, so it’s definitely him.”
Lamptey impressed when he joined Brighton from Chelsea in the winter transfer window of 2020. He played 35 times for the Seagulls, scoring one goal and providing an assist. This season, Lamptey has made 16 appearances since returning from injury, after more than 10 months out due to a hamstring problem.
