PHOENIX, AZ.- After an impressive performance at the Grand Canyon Invitational, sophomore outside hitter Riley Homer was named to the All-GCU Invitational Team Sunday evening. Homer registered a total of 35 kills in three matches throughout the tournament.
In the first match against Rider, Homer tallied 12 kills and recorded a dominant .333 hitting percentage. The sophomore delivered 13 kills in the second match against Western Carolina, her second-highest amount this season. Homer rounded out the weekend with 10 kills against Grand Canyon University and showed her versatility with five digs. In total, Homer dug up 11 in the tournament.
The sophomore currently leads the Wildcats with 67 kills and is currently riding a five-match streak of recording double-digit kills. This is Homer’s first selection to an All-Tournament team in her collegiate career.
