Stuba Named to MAAC Water Polo Preseason Team

Edison, N.J. – Junior Kaysie Stuba was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Preseason Team as announced by the conference office Monday morning.  The Wildcats in the Preseason Coaches’ Poll received 19 points and were picked to finish sixth.

Stuba has established herself as a top offensive performer in the MAAC during her first two season at Villanova.  Last season she finished with 42 goals and 18 assists for 60 points.  Stuba scored two or more goals in a match 12 times in 18 outings last season, including in each of the last seven matches of the year.  She also had a season high five goals in consecutive matches versus Iona and Mercyhurst.  In her career she has netted 118 goals and dished out 49 assists for 167 point.  Stuba was named to the MAAC All-Conference Second Team in 2019 and earned Rookie of the Week honors twice that same season.

This year’s MAAC Championships are scheduled for May 1 and May 2. The host venue will be McCann Natatorium in Poughkeepsie.
